ECF Volunteers saved the best for last!!
ECF volunteers concluded our summer service with a children’s event on August 31, 2022. Our DMV Outreach Program provided supplies for a small computer laboratory which will assist children and volunteers with access to technology. ECF donated school supplies such as notebooks, pencils, crayons, and more for this event. This event was a collaboration between Helping Hands, Women’s Ministry Miles End SDA, and Elite Community Foundation.

Great things come in small packages!! ECF volunteers participated in The Academy Charter School’s “Influence Day” held on August 27, 2022 from 10am to 2pm in Hempstead, NY. ECF volunteers assisted with this grassroots effort to provide free books, school supplies, clothing, and more in Hempstead, NY.
DMV Outreach Program meets critical needs in the community!
DMV Outreach Program demonstrates how international projects can flourish with limited resources. New York and Jamaica ECF volunteers coordinated their efforts for our DMV Outreach program (July 2022). ECF sent masks, face shields, notebooks and bags, newborn clothes and blanket, used gently laptops, gloves, wound dressings, hand sanitizers, incontinent products, toiletry items, and more.
ECF Volunteers Promoting Health and Wellness in Laurelton, NY
Elite Community Foundation volunteers continue our mission to promote health and wellness in Queens. The Theta Chi Chapter of Chi Eta Phi Sorority Inc Nurses hosted a community health fair on Saturday, June 25, 2022 from 10:00AM – 2:00PM at their sorority headquarters in Laurelton, NY.
ECF Wellness and Safety Series™ Spring 2022 continues from March to June 2022
ECF Wellness and Safety Series™ had 1,064 attendees for 16 out of 21 sessions. ECF Wellness and Safety Series™ provides diverse topics across the lifespan and contemporary, in-demand trainings that focuses on health, wellness, and safety. ECF Wellness series continues to facilitate workshops that lead to improved health and wellness, and positive outcomes for individuals, families, and communities.
ECF Volunteers Donates to 5 NYC Charities
On December 27, 2021, ECF donated various items to two NYC pantries at Project Hope Charities (Queens) and The New Open Door C.O.G.I.C. (Brooklyn), and three NYC shelters in Queens (Jamaica Armory Shelter for Women, Restful Nights Shelter, and Salvation Army – Springfield Residence). ECF distributed 33 cases (864 individual) hand sanitizers, 5 cases of baby wipes. ECF’s amazing volunteers collected, sorted, and delivered the donations!
ECF Wellness and Safety Series TM workshops had close to one thousand attendees during 2021!! Through collaborations and partnerships, ECF created 24 workshops and offered 31 online Zoom classes free to the public. Our single highest registration during 2021 was 120 individuals registering for a single training (for 1 day).
