Elite Community Foundation on-boarded Health Volunteers to assist at COVID-19 test sites in Nassau County. Individuals signed-up for this great community building opportunity. Volunteer tasks involve asking COVID-19 questions and ad hoc assistance. These individuals wanted to impact the pandemic by volunteering on the front lines. ECF is proud to have our volunteers ready to help in Nassau County.
Pandemic Safety Training
Elite Community Foundation and its partners created the Pandemic Safety Training. This training is a compilation of current best practices and provides a comprehensive overview of the infectious disease process, in-depth information concerning COVID‐19, infectious disease transmission, and skills for clean environments and other safety practices. This course was created for all personnel in any industry – from support staff to administrators – and provides organizations and persons with the expertise to maintain personal safety and the safety of their families and communities. ECF is proud to offer our training locally and out of state.
ECF’s Virtual Volunteers worked to assist individuals through three New York City organizations, including seniors and NYC school children. Virtual Volunteers assisted homebound seniors and students needing assistance with technology. ECF is proud to have our volunteers helping online and via phone.
Elite Community Foundation on-boarded more than twenty virtual volunteers from all over New York. This group included high school and college students and those from working professions. ECF found several individuals who wanted to make a difference during the pandemic from home. ECF is proud to have our volunteers helping online and by telephone throughout New York City.
Support for Project Hope Charities
Elite Community Foundation facilitated both on-ground volunteers as well as facilitated PPE and disinfectant donations for Project Hope Charities’ pantry. Our support to Project Hope impacts 120,000 residents in South Jamaica and neighboring areas. This local pantry provides food onsite and via home delivery.
GTS Fashion & Friends Teen Summit
ECF volunteers assisted with an event hosted by GTS Fashion & Friends Teen Summit – 2020 Enrollment Day in Brooklyn, NY. Our volunteers helped with the event set-up and ad hoc assistance related to the fashion shop. ECF is proud to have our volunteers helping in Brooklyn.
