Board Member

Dr. C. M. Brown is a dynamic individual with a multifaceted career dedicated to healthcare, education, and humanitarianism. With extensive experience as a registered nurse, she has served on the frontlines of patient care, demonstrating unwavering compassion and expertise in diverse clinical settings. Dr. Brown’s passion for education propelled her to pursue advanced degrees enabling her to inspire and mentor the next generation of healthcare professionals. As a committed researcher, she has contributed significantly to the advancement of health equity, improving health outcomes, and healthcare delivery systems.

In addition to her professional roles, Dr. Brown is the visionary founder of Elite Community Foundation aimed at providing essential services and support to vulnerable communities. By way of Elite Community Foundation, she has spearheaded numerous initiatives, ranging from medical missions to educational programs, positively impacting the lives of countless individuals in need. Dr. Brown’s dedication to humanitarian efforts has earned her recognitions and accolades, reflecting her tireless commitment to making a difference in the world. She continues to inspire others through her innovative approaches, collaborative spirit, and unwavering dedication to serving humanity with empathy and integrity.

Mrs. Powell is a retired health care worker and full-time volunteer. She is a distinguished public servant who was drawn to public service because of her work in healthcare and worked for 25 years as a certified paraprofessional. “This broadened my horizons, and caring for others became my life’s purpose. I count it as a privilege, knowing that caring for others is my passion. I strive to be compassionate and competent as I work with others”.

Mrs. Powell retired from healthcare in 2010 and started a ministry caring for the elderly in their homes. She joined GOGS Ministries in 2015 and had the opportunity to visit an overseas orphanage, hospital, and school; and work in various capacities with Sisters of Compassion in Jamaica doing from hands-on-care to arranging donations. Similarly, for 32 years, she was an active member in a local prison ministry. “I joined Elite Community Foundation (ECF) because of my love for those who need us the most. It is my honor to serve my community and others”.

Ms. Wright is a retired health professional with several years’ work experience in various facets of healthcare.  With over 30 years’ experience in healthcare, Ms. Wright continues her work of services with individuals at Elite Community Foundation (ECF).   Among Ms. Wright’s many years of volunteer experience, she is a proud ECF volunteer since 2019.  Over the years, Ms. Wright has been instrumental with ECF’s onsite and offsite events in Brooklyn, Queens, Long Island, and overseas.  “Volunteering is important because when you help someone, you help the whole community”.   According to Ms. Wright,  “The world should be a better because of each person’s contributions.  I believe education and volunteer work is mandatory to create healthy communities.  I hope my contributions will enhance ECF’s success, empower minorities, uplift the underserved, and assist with meeting ECF’s mission and vision.  It is great to serve my community and this organization”.

Mr. J. Brown is a technology industry professional with a passion for community service and has been actively involved with ECF since 2019. His passion for helping others led him to volunteer for various in-person initiatives, including his current role on the tech team. In recognition of his dedication, Mr. Brown has recently joined the ECF Advisory Board. With a deep understanding of computer technicalities, excellent critical thinking skills, and a discerning eye, he brings valuable expertise to support ECF’s mission of making a difference in the community.

Dr. M. Mullings, PhD

Rev. Dr. M. Mullings, PhD, is a dedicated professional with a diverse background, serving in various roles that reflect his commitment to community, well-being, and spiritual needs. He serves the community officiating at civil weddings, bringing couples together in a union of love and commitment and guiding them through the process with compassion and understanding. With a background in Counselling Psychology, Rev. Dr. Mullings provides valuable support and guidance to individuals facing personal challenges, helping them navigate difficult situations with empathy and care.

Rev. Dr. Mullings is an outstanding leader in his church and in the community he resides and works as the Chaplain of an Elementary/Primary school, in a vital role of providing spiritual and emotional support to students, staff, and families. Having retired as the Acting Assistant Force Chaplain, he has extensive experience in providing pastoral care and support to members of the police force, ensuring their well-being and mental health. He is also an active member of the police chaplain organization, where he continues to contribute his expertise and knowledge to support law enforcement personnel and their families. Rev. Dr. M. Mullings dedication to serving others and his diverse skill set make him an invaluable asset to Elite Community Foundation.
