Yes, we did it! ECF’s Introduction to Autism was an amazing success. We enrolled 143 magnificent learners in our free training which exceeded our goal by almost fifty percent. Our aim is to bring our autism training to every community; as well as to educate and provide access to as many people as able. Our Introduction to Autism training participants included parents, guardians, teachers, childcare providers, social workers, guidance counselors, retirees, grandparents, clergy, healthcare providers, and college students, just to mention a few. This training was accomplished with the support and partnership between Elite Community Foundation, Quest Advance Media, and Ponce Bank.
Autism affects individuals and families – locally, throughout the US, and globally. Early identification equals early services, treatments, and better outcomes and quality of life. Our training provided our participants with the knowledge to advocate for their child, family members, students, neighbors, or clients. We are thrilled with the demand for the Introduction to Autism. We currently have a waiting list for a future session.
